Protecting Taxpayers

As Vice Mayor of Surprise, Jack supported balanced budgets that cut property taxes twice while still investing in public safety and schools, including hiring over 100 police officers and firefighters. On the college board, he will continue that record of fiscal responsibility, putting taxpayers first and making sure every dollar is spent wisely.​

Safe Schools, Safe Campuses
Jack spent over 10 years in the Dysart Unified School District as a Civics Teacher, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. He led the charge to add School Police Officers to public and charter schools in Surprise, and he's endorsed by the Maricopa Colleges police officers. He'll make campus safety a priority for our colleges.

Jobs, Not Debt

Jack started at Mesa Community College, where he played football, before earning his bachelor's from ASU and master's in Educational Leadership.  He founded and chairs Surprise's Education & Workforce Subcommittee, which has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to students pursuing college, trade and tech school, and job training. On the college board, he'll push for trades, healthcare, and public safety training built with local employers.

Jack believes elected officials work for us, not the other way around. His faith in Christ grounds him in integrity and servant leadership. He believes in open, transparent government, where the public knows how decisions are made and where their money goes. He'll explain his votes so you never have to guess where he stands.

Rooted in the Community

A Surprise resident for nearly 25 years, Jack is deeply invested in the future of the West Valley. He and his wife, Olivia, who is also a teacher, have been married for five years. He wants our community colleges to be there for the next generation of local students, and he supports bringing college football back, the right way, with a real plan for the cost.
